The Department has three Project Proposal Report templates, for road projects, rail projects, and small road projects. (Footnote: Defined as road projects receiving a total Australian Government contribution up to $7.5 million with a total estimated project cost not exceeding $25 million. ) The templates all follow a similar structure. However, for projects classified as a small road project, the template is similar to the road Project Proposal Report but requires less information. The sections of the Project Proposal Reports are:
- Project Overview
- Project Scope
- Project Costs
- Benefits
- Financing and Procurement
- Risk and Sustainability
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Compliance
The key activities of the Capital Framework and the sections of the Capital Framework Business Case template have been mapped to each section of the Project Proposal Report templates. The road, rail and small road Project Proposal Report templates can be found on the Department’s Infrastructure Investment Program website.
