Independent Reviewer – Mr Peter Grant PSM
Mr Peter Grant PSM has been appointed to lead the review. Mr Grant has extensive experience in public policy development and policy analysis and review, having previously served as Deputy Secretary and First Assistant Secretary, Economic and Policy Analysis in the Commonwealth Department of Employment, Education and Training. More recently, Mr Grant has been involved in a large number of independent reviews, including major reviews of Australian Government grant programs and Indigenous programs, a review of the Australian Bureau of Statistics' National Education and Training Statistics Unit, and a review of the Job Seeker Compliance Framework.
Mr Grant chaired the Board of the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (2003-2009) and the Contributions Review Panel (2007-2011). He currently chairs the Tuition Protection Service Advisory Board, appointed under the Education Services for Overseas Students Act, and serves as Deputy Chair of the Board of the Australian Youth Orchestra.
