Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Budget Statement

The ACT Government is committed to delivering equitable outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Canberrans.

The ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Agreement was developed and agreed by the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elected Body and ACT Government in 2019. The Agreement sets the long-term direction and priorities over the next decade to achieve equitable outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the ACT.

In recent years the Government has made significant investments towards outcomes under both agreements, including through the establishment of the Healing and Reconciliation Fund.
