How to use this site

We at the Department of Treasury want to make your experience of using this site as easy and as pleasurable as possible.

We understand that not everyone has the same knowledge, experience or physical opportunities when using a website and we have tried to make this site as user friendly and as accessible as we can.

Site Layout

This site is very simple and consists of the following elements:

• pages containing information on ACTIA's principal activities; Insurance, Claims, Risk Management;
• a 'Site Map' navigator which highlights the main sections of the website;
• options to print the current page or associated section;
• a small number of auxiliary pages containing supporting information.
• 'breadcrumb' and other associated links at the top of each page.

To navigate the ACTIA website please use the site map navigator on the left.

Site Map

The Site Map is located on the left hand side of the page and consists a number of sections with links to individual pages within the ACTIA website.

When you move your mouse cursor (the pointer) over a link it will change colour making it easy for you to know which page you are about to select.  Click the mouse button to activate the link and go to the page.

You can browse the ACTIA website by using the Site Map in any order. Use the headings to help focus your search.

Navigation using keyboard - Tab order

All pages can be navigated, top to bottom, using only your tab key. This should allow you to navigate all links on the page in a useful order:

The order is defined as follows:

1. The internet menu options and tabs
2. The Search box
3. All links in the site map panel (found on the left hand side)
4. All links in the current page
5. All links in the site instructions panel (found on the right hand side)

Searching

You can search this site using the search box found at the top of the page. To use the search tool please follow these steps:

1. Enter the search box using your mouse or keyboard tab key
2. Type the text you wish to search for;
3. Press your Enter key or click the button marked 'Search'.

Changing font size using browser options

• In Internet Explorer, choose from the View menu: Text Size. Then, choose from the five sizes offered.
  You can also hold the <ctrl> key and roll the mouse wheel to adjust text size.
• In Netscape, choose the menu item View, Increase Font to make the text larger or Decrease Font to make the text smaller.
