The Under Treasurer advises the Treasurer on policy and strategic issues, the management of the Territory's budget, investments and economic policy.

The Office of the Under Treasurer is a primary contact point for the Department.

The Office provides strategic and corporate support to the Under Treasurer by:

• undertaking high level coordination, research and reporting tasks;
• providing advice on specific project issues;
• providing advice on Cabinet and Assembly procedures and processes; and
• managing and coordinating Cabinet, Assembly and legislative matters on a whole of department basis.

The Office also supports the Minister and Ministerial Officers in meeting Cabinet and Legislative Assembly obligations and in responding to requests and correspondence from constituents.
